Public Turtle and Tortoise Drop Off Locations
Posted June 12th, 2007 by anita
Turtles and tortoises can be brought to one of our drop off locations. Make arrangements to drop off your turtle or tortoise preferably through the GCTTS email at: info-L@gctts.org or the GCTTS toll free Hotline (866-99-GCTTS) if email isn't possible. We will provide you with contact numbers for the listed drop off people (excluding Marlaina) and you can arrange for a drop off with one of them.
If you choose Marlaina, you do not need to make drop-off arrangements and can take the turtle or tortoise at your convenience. She is never out for more than an hour so if she is not home when you take the turtle there. Leave the turtle(s) in the container labeled "Turtle Drop-offs" inside the front gate." Leave your name and number for her with the turtles. Please sign the release form on or near the container and leave it with your turtles. You do not need to call her before going, however, you will need to send us an email and let us know the day and time range you will be at her place and we will give you the address. This is to be sure you do not come on a day when Marlaina is out of town.
Any equipment, foods, etc, donated with the turtle(s) are appreciated.
Severely injured turtles or tortoises must be taken to Marlaina Barr or Diane Cheadle.
Marlaina Barr, North Houston 77073 (near Intercontinental Airport)
Bob Smither, Friendswood, 77546 (unavailable May 10-29, 2008)
Rhonda Smith, Kingwood, 77339
Diane Cheadle, Clear Lake Area (Severely injured turtles & tortoises only)
