Description

Habitat

Atlantic and Gulf coastal plains from southeastern Virginia to the Mississippi River. Peninsular Florida. West of the Mississippi River from southeastern Missouri and central Oklahoma south to the Gulf of Mexico.

Likely omnivorous. Eats tadposes, crayfish. May become more herbivorous as it ages.
