Description

To 17 cm. High arched shell with a distinct yellow vertebral stripe.

Habitat

Southern China, Taiwan, and the Ryukyu Islands.

Ponds and rice paddies, upland streams with luxurious vegetation.

Behavior

Fond of basking.

Reproduction

Food

In captivity readily feeds on a variety of foods ranging from bananas to fish.
